Shetlands Coastal Decking

The project in the Shetlands required a highly durable board to resist the extreme coastal weather conditions, the Frontier range decking boards from Hyperion Decking was selected for exactly this reason.

The board has a durable outer coating on the solid board to protect against the salt water spray, whilst still maintaining fantastic natural look. The client was also looking to incorporate intricate designs into the deck, thus required a versatile product.

The Solution

Using the Iroko coloured Frontier boards with a Slate coloured boards to act as a picture frame border, the client created a highly contemporary deck that will last for many years. Incredible and highly unique compass and diamond shaped designs were then effortlessly merged into the surface. Glass balustrade added the final touch to create a wind break and complete the perfect deck overlooking the perfect vista.
