The Project
The Groucho Club in London was looking to source a decking product with a low environmental impact, to be installed into their outdoor smoking area.
The area receives a weekly footfall of 3000ppl and the area to be covered was over a metal grated flat roof with only a small height available to install any decking due to door thresholds.
The Solution
With the combination of an anti-slip surface and manufactured from recycled material, the highly durable Hyperion Decking was the perfect choice for the project. The client opted for the Walnut colour from the Pioneer range to give a complimentary contemporary look for their space.
Low profile and maintenance free Manticore recycled plastic bearers were used in combination with ultra-thin support pads to solve the limitation of height available. Plus the subframe combination enabled the client install the decking effectively over the metal grated flat roof area.
